The unique Tigo rotor guarantees effi cient cutting and fi lling in which the non-steered pick-up emphasises the maintenance-friendliness of these wagons.

Optimum intake with fifive-row pick-up The non-steered pick-up on the Lely Tigo R wagons has fifi ve tine bars with tines spaced 54 mm apart. This maintenance-friendly pick-up consistently delivers clean work due to the fifine-tuning of the rotational speed to that of the cutting rotor.

Cutting quality The Lely Tigo R cutting arrangement can be connected in two groups and is fifi tted with 31 knives. This results in a minimum cutting length of 45 mm. The wide edges on the rotor tines together with these knives provide a highly precise cutting action. The knives are individually protected with release springs.

Geared rotor drive The cutting rotor is driven by gears, without any chains. The steel casing of this drive enables the last and largest gear to be fifi tted to the rotor. The direct transfer is very stable and the minimum elasticity in the drive line ensures an optimum cutting arrangement. The drive is grease-lubricated and maintenance-free. A cam-type clutch protects the drive against overloading. These drives guarantee many years of optimum performance with minimal maintenance.

Comfortable and stable running gear The stable tandem axle featuring parabolic springs offers maximum comfort and stability for most applications. The wagon may be equipped if appropriate with 14-tonne running gear which can be fifitted with 620/40 R22,5 tyres in order to minimise turf damage.

Optional - steering rear axle A steering rear axle (optional) is better for the turf and reduces tyre wear on hard ground. The steering rear axle can be confifi gured with hydraulic locking and a four-wheel braking system.

Body structure The robust steel body has a foldable superstructure. The body is equipped with ropes on top to restrict the load bay and prevent spillage.

Automatic loading system The automatic loading system ensures optimum loading of the wagon so that each journey made has maximum effect. The cutting rotor thrusts the crop upwards until a sensor in the roof reads the desired pressure. Next, the floor shifts the load by a small amount at a time towards the rear until a second sensor at the rear end detects that the maximum load has been taken on board.

Heavy-duty floor chain for rapid discharge The flfloor chain, which consists of two 10 mm chains and robust carriers, is hydraulically driven. Double discharge speed available as an option. Model 50 R can be produced with a double floor chain.

Lely Tigo RD, perfect metering Every Lely Tigo R loading wagon is available as an RD model with two metering rollers. This metering system spreads the forage evenly across the clamp or directly before the cattle using a side discharge conveyor (optional). The rollers are driven by their own hydraulic system. In this confifi guration the machine is fifi tted with a double-ended wide-angle PTO shaft, a reversing arrangement on the floor chain and automatic discharge.

Well-laid-out controls The standard electro-hydraulic control enables all functions to be operated from the tractor cab. R models can be equipped with automatic loading which further enhances effificiency and ease of operation. This system is suitable for load-sensing hydraulics.
